Start your morning right, and your work day stands a better chance of going well. A series of good days can turn into a great week. Do this for a month or even a year, and you’ll feel amazed at what you’ve accomplished.

Nail Your Morning Routine

Award-winning American choreographer Twyla Tharp starts each day the same way. She rises at 05:30 a.m. and gets a taxi to a nearby gym in Manhattan. There, she practices strength training exercises. Tharp’s early morning routine helps her start each day with a bang.

In the The Creative Habit, she wrote:

It’s a simple act, but doing it the same way each morning habitualizes it — makes it repeatable, easy to do. It reduces the chance that I would skip it or do it differently. It is one more item in my arsenal of routines and one less thing to think about.

You could start the day right by meditating, reading, learning a new skill, writing, exercising or even working on a creative project or side-business before work.
